My name is Catherine Moravec. I am a horticulturist from Colorado who loves to help other people create a beautiful, enjoyable yard. I grew up in the Denver area and have spent 18 years in the landscaping industry. I’ve worked in garden centers, landscape installation and maintenance companies, educational organizations and public gardens. Here’s why I love to grow plants.
Because caring for a yard can be tricky, I’ve created Colorado Yard Care so you can learn what you need to do to have an amazing yard. My hope is that by following my advice, you move towards an enjoyable and attractive setting for your home.
As far as my educational background, I earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Colorado (go Buffs!) and a master’s degree in horticulture from the University of California, Davis. I’ve lived in Colorado Springs since 2005 with my husband, two daughters, and toddler-aged son.
